Parrots are rare passive mobs that will spawn in jungles. When killed, they will drop 1-2 feathers, and 1-3 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf.

Parrots can be tamed by feeding them seeds until heart particles appear. Tamed parrots can be ordered to sit by clicking "Use" on them, and will not follow their owner while sitting. Clicking "Use" on them again will stand them up again. When the player walks away from the parrot, the parrot will fly toward them and perch on the player's shoulder. They will dismount if the player steps down a block, takes damage, sleeps, enters water or lava, or starts drowning.
