Piglin Brute

Hostile Mob
Passive Mob (Peaceful Difficulty: Bedrock Edition)
Health Points: 50
Attack Strength: Java Edition: Easy: 7.5
                                                      Normal: 13
                                                      Hard: 19.5
                              Bedrock Edition: Easy: 6
                                                            Normal: 10
                                                            Hard: 15

Piglin brutes are hostile mobs that spawn with bastion remnants upon generation. When killed by a player or a tamed wolf, they will drop 20 experience and have a small chance to drop their axe.

Like piglins, piglin brutes are hostile towards wither skeletons and withers, are not immune to fire and lava damage, and zombify if they are moved to the Overworld or the End. If a player hits a piglin brute, it will aggravate all nearby piglins and piglin brutes, regardless of whether the player was wearing gold armor or not.

Unlike piglins, piglin brutes cannot barter, will not be distracted by gold, and do not retreat. They will always be hostile towards players, regardless of whether the player was wearing gold armor or not.

Wither Skeleton

Hostile Mob
Health Points: 20
Attack Strength: Easy: 5
                              Normal: 8
                              Hard: 12

Wither skeletons are hostile mobs that spawn in Nether fortresses. On Bedrock Edition, the wither spawns 3-4 wither skeletons when it is below half health. In Java Edition on Halloween, wither skeletons have a chance of spawning wearing either a carved pumpkin (22.5%) or a jack-o-lantern (2.5%), which won't be dropped if they are killed. When killed they will drop 0-1 coal, 0-2 bones, and if they were killed by the player, they have a 2.5% chance to drop a wither skeleton skull. If they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf, they will drop 5 experience, plus an additional 1-3 experience if they didn't drop their sword. A wither skeleton will always drop a wither skeleton skull if it is killed by a charged creeper.

Wither skeletons are hostile toward players, snow golems, iron golems, baby turtles, piglins, and piglin brutes. They will flee from wolves, but if they are hit by them they will retaliate. A mob or player that is damaged by a wither skeleton will also be inflicted with the Wither effect for 10 seconds, which will cause one point of damage every two seconds, similar to the Poison effect. However, unlike Poison, which will only ever drain the health bar down to one point of health, the Wither effect can bring it down to zero and cause death. Wither skeletons are immune to fire, lava, and the Wither effect.

Blaze

Hostile Mob
Health Points: 20
Attack Strength: Ranged: 5
                              Melee: Easy: 4
                                           Normal: 6
                                           Hard: 9

Blazes are hostile mobs that spawn in Nether fortresses, naturally and from blaze spawners. If they were killed by a player, blazes have a chance to drop one blaze rod, and they will also drop 10 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf.

Blazes are immune to fire and lava damage, and are damaged by snowballs, water, rain, and splash water bottles. They also take extra damage from powder snow.

Blazes attack the player by shooting a salvo of fireballs at them from a distance of up to 48 blocks (Java Edition) or 16 blocks (Bedrock Edition). When a blaze notices a player it will rise into the air and charge up its attack for 3 seconds, which will give it the appearance of being on fire. After charging it will fire a salvo of three fireballs at them, and then wait 5 seconds before attacking again. A blaze's fireballs deal damage upon impact, and also set the target on fire for a short time. If they hit the top surface of a block they will start a fire there. Blazes can also perform a melee attack if they touch their target.

Magma Cube

Hostile Mob
Health Points: Big: 16
                         Medium: 4
                          Small: 1
Attack Strength: Big: Easy: 4
                                      Normal: 6
                                      Hard: 9
                              Medium: Easy: 3
                                               Normal: 4
                                               Hard: 6
                              Small: Easy: 2.5
                                          Normal: 3
                                          Hard: 4.5

Magma cubes are hostile mobs that spawn in basalt deltas, nether wastes, and nether fortresses. A magma cube spawner also generates in every treasure room bastion. Magma cubes can spawn in any light level. When killed, small magma cubes have a 25% chance to drop 1 magma cream, while medium and large magma cubes have a 57.14% chance. In addition, if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf, large magma cubes will drop 4 experience, medium magma cubes will drop 2 experience, and small magma cubes will drop 1 experience. A small magma cube will also drop a pearlescent froglight when killed by a warm frog, a verdant froglight when killed by a cold frog, or an ochre froglight when killed by a temperate frog.

Magma cubes behave like slimes, moving around by jumping, except they jump higher and less frequently. Larger magma cubes will have a higher jump. They will attack players and iron golems. Magma cubes come in three different sizes: Big, medium, and small. When a magma cube is killed, it will break down into 2-4 magma cubes of the next smallest size (unless the magma cube is already at its smallest size). Magma cubes are immune to fall damage and fire damage, and take extra damage from powder snow.

Hoglin

Hostile Mob
Passive Mob (Peaceful Difficulty)
Health Points: 40
Attack Strength: Adult: Easy: 2.5-5
                                         Normal: 3-8
                                         Hard: 4.5-12
                             Baby: Easy & Normal: 0.5
                                        Hard: 0.75

Hoglins are hostile mobs that spawn in crimson forests and hoglin stables bastions in the Nether. 20% of hoglins spawn as babies. When killed, they will drop 2-4 raw porkchops (cooked porkchops if they died while on fire), 0-1 leather, and 5 experience (Java Edition) or 1-3 experience (Bedrock Edition) if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf. Baby hoglins only drop experience.

Hoglins will flee from warped fungus, nether portals, and respawn anchors, and are vulnerable to fire damage. When they attack a mob or player, hoglins deal a large amount of damage and knockback and fling the target up into the air several blocks. The knockback is still dealt even if the target is blocking with a shield. Baby hoglins deal a very small amount of damage and regular knockback, and will flee briefly when damaged. Hoglins are 60% resistant to knockback.

Baby piglins will play with baby hoglins by riding them. Up to three baby piglins can stack on top of each other while riding a baby hoglin. If a hoglin is moved to the Overworld or the End, it will shake and transform into a zoglin after 15 seconds.

Large groups of piglins will occasionally hunt hoglins. If the hoglins are outnumbered, they will retreat. If the piglins are outnumbered, they will retreat.

If two hoglins are fed warped fungi by the player, they will enter love mode and breed, and the player will be rewarded with 1-7 experience. Those hoglins will then not be able to enter love mode again for 5 minutes. It will take 20 minutes for the baby hoglin to grow into an adult. The growth process can also be sped up by feeding the baby hoglin warped fungi.

Hoglin Variants

If a hoglin is transported to the Overworld or the End, it will turn into an undead mob called the zoglin after 15 seconds. Zoglins have the same stats as hoglins, but have some different behaviors. Zoglins are hostile toward everything, the only exceptions being creepers and ghasts. They will also attack armor stands on Java Edition, and piglins will flee from them. Unlike hoglins, zoglins cannot be bred, and baby zoglins will never grow up. Zoglins are immune to fire damage, and when killed they will drop 1-3 rotten flesh, and 5 experience (Java Edition) or 1-3 experience (Bedrock Edition) if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf.

Zombified Piglin

Neutral Mob
Health Points: 20
Attack Strength: Easy: 5
                             Normal: 8
                             Hard: 12

Zombified piglins are neutral mobs that spawn in the Nether in nether wastes, crimson forests, and Nether fortresses. They can also spawn riding a strider, and baby zombified piglins have a chance to spawn as a chicken jockey. They have a small chance of spawning near a lit Nether portal in the Overworld, and if a piglin or piglin brute is moved to the Overworld or the End, it will turn into a zombified piglin after 15 seconds. If lightning strikes within four blocks of a pig in the Overworld, it will be transformed into a zombified piglin. In Java Edition on Halloween, zombified piglins have a chance of spawning wearing either a carved pumpkin (22.5%) or a jack-o-lantern (2.5%), which won't be dropped if they are killed.

When killed, a zombified piglin will drop 0-1 rotten flesh, 0-1 gold nuggets, and has a 2.5% chance of dropping a gold ingot. There is also an 8.5% (Java Edition) or 25% (Bedrock Edition) chance of them dropping their weapon (a gold sword if naturally spawned, a crossbow if zombified from a crossbow-wielding piglin, a gold axe if zombified from a piglin brute, or a warped fungus on a stick if they spawned riding a strider). A zombified piglin will drop 5 (adult) or 12 (baby) experience when killed by a player or a tamed wolf, or if they die while in a hostile state. An additional 1-3 experience is dropped if they do not drop their gold sword.

Zombified piglins are undead mobs, and are immune to fire and lava. They avoid walking on magma blocks, and target turtle eggs that have at least two blocks of air above them. They destroy the eggs by walking over to them and jumping on them.

When a zombified piglin is damaged by a player or mob, whether purposefully or accidentally, all the zombified piglins in the area become aggressive. They will become neutral again if the target is killed, or if they cannot see the target for between 20 and 60 seconds. They are not naturally hostile toward any mob, but will retaliate if attacked. Piglins, villagers, and wandering traders will flee from zombified piglins, and iron golems are hostile toward zombified piglins.

Piglin

Neutral Mob (Adult)
Passive Mob (Baby, or in Peaceful Difficulty)
Health Points: 16
Attack Strength: Java Edition: Ranged: Easy & Normal: 2-5
                                                                     Hard: 3-5
                                                      Melee: Easy: 5
                                                                  Normal: 8
                                                                  Hard: 12
Bedrock Edition: Ranged: Easy & Normal: 2-4
                                                                            Hard: 2-5
                                                            Melee: Easy: 5
                                                                        Normal: 9
                                                                        Hard: 13
                              Melee without weapon: Easy: 3
                                                                       Normal: 5
                                                                       Hard: 7

Piglins are neutral mobs that spawn in crimson forests and nether wastes biomes in the Nether, and also generate with bastion remnants. When killed, adult piglins will drop 5 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf, plus an additional 1-3 experience for each piece of armor they were wearing. Each piece of equipment they spawn with has an 8.5% chance of being dropped. Baby piglins only drop 1 experience. Piglins will also drop a piglin head if they are killed by a charged creeper.

Piglins will spawn with either a sword or a crossbow. On Java Edition a piglin's crossbow can break if its durability runs out, forcing the piglin to use its fists when attacking. On Bedrock Edition a piglin's crossbow will never break. Piglins will be hostile to the player if the player is not wearing at least one piece of gold armor. If the player is wearing gold armor, they will be neutral. Piglins become aggravated if they see a player opening a storage block such as a chest or barrel. If they do not have line of sight to the player they will not become aggressive. If a storage block or gold-related block is broken by the player, all piglins within range will become aggressive toward the player, regardless of whether or not they have line of sight. Hitting a piglin or piglin brute will cause all piglins within range to become aggressive. Piglins will become neutral if they cannot see their target for about 30 seconds.

Piglins will retreat from zombified piglins, zoglins, soul fire, soul torches, soul lanterns, and lit soul campfires. They will ignore soul fire items if they are pursuing the player, but will still retreat from zombified piglins and zoglins. Baby piglins will also retreat from wither skeletons and the wither, while adult piglins will attempt to attack them. Both adult and baby piglins will be attacked by iron golems.

Every so often large groups of piglins will hunt hoglins. If they are outnumbered by the hoglins, they will retreat. If they are victorious and defeat all the hoglins in the area, they will pick up all the porkchops the hoglins dropped, and have a 10% chance of performing a T-pose victory dance.

Piglins will pick up any items they come across, preferring gold items, which they actively seek out. They can open and close wooden doors, and unlike most Nether mobs, piglins are not immune to damage from fire and lava. Baby piglins never grow up, and will play with baby hoglins by riding them. Up to three baby piglins can stack on top of each other while riding a baby hoglin. If a piglin or piglin brute is transported to the Overworld or the End, it will transform into a zombified piglin.

Players can barter with adult piglins for unique items by giving them gold ingots or throwing the ingots on the ground and letting the piglin pick them up. Piglins that are aggressive can still be given gold ingots, which will momentarily distract them. If a baby piglin is given a gold ingot, it will simply take it and will not give the player any items in return.

If the player hits a piglin that is examining a gold ingot and does not kill it in one hit, it will confiscate the ingot and not give the player any items in return, and will not be able to barter until it picks up a different item. If the piglin is killed in one hit it will drop the gold ingot.

Piglins can still become aggressive while they are bartering, in which case they will behave differently on different versions. On Java Edition the piglin will finish the barter with the usual delay before trying to attack the player, but on Bedrock Edition the piglin will finish the barter immediately and then try to attack the player.

If a piglin zombifies before it can complete the barter, it will drop the gold ingot it was examining. While a piglin is examining a gold ingot it will not retreat from zombified piglins or zoglins.

Ghast

Hostile Mob
Health Points: 10
Attack Strength: Impact: 6
                             Explosion: Easy: 9
                                               Normal: 17
                                               Hard: 25

Ghasts are hostile mobs that spawn in the Nether in the nether wastes, basalt delta, and soul sand valley biomes. When killed they will drop 0-2 gunpowder, 0-1 ghast tears, and 5 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf.

Ghasts will take notice of players if they are within 64 blocks away from them (28 blocks in Bedrock Edition) and at roughly the same height. Unlike other hostile mobs, they will not try to move in closer to the player, but will instead stay at a distance to attack them. Ghasts are ranged mobs, and will attack the player by shooting fireballs out of their mouth.

Ghasts are immune to fire and lava damage, and make loud crying noises as they fly.

Strider

Passive Mob
Health Points: 20

Striders are passive mobs that spawn on lava lakes in the Nether. When an adult strider is killed it will drop 2-5 string, and 1-3 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf.

Lava does not damage striders, and they can walk on top of it. If they end up on land, they will turn blue and start shivering, and won't be able to move as quickly. They will take damage from water and rain and will take additional freezing damage in powder snow, but will not take damage from snowfall or snowballs.

Striders can be equipped with a saddle and ridden by a player. To travel on them the player must hold a warped fungus on a stick (crafted with a warped fungus and a fishing rod) and look in the direction they wish to travel, much like riding a saddled pig. Using the warped fungus on a stick while riding the strider will take durability off the warped fungus on a stick and boost the strider's speed for a short time. Dismounting can be dangerous, because if the strider is not pressed up against a block for the player to dismount onto, the player will dismount at the strider's location, and likely fall into lava. A Fire Resistance potion should always be kept on hand when riding striders.

Striders have a small chance of spawning with a baby strider riding on top of them. The baby will grow up as normal, but will not dismount when it becomes an adult. There is also a small chance of strider spawning with a zombified piglin riding it. If this happens, the zombified piglin will spawn carrying a warped fungus on a stick, and the strider will spawn with a saddle, which will stay on it if the zombified piglin is killed.

Striders will follow a player holding a warped fungus or a warped fungus on a stick, and if two striders are fed warped fungus by the player, they will enter love mode and breed, and the player will be rewarded with 1-7 experience. Those striders will then not be able to enter love mode again for 5 minutes. It will take 20 minutes for the baby strider to grow into an adult. The growth process can also be sped up by feeding the baby strider cactus.

Illusioner

Hostile Mob
Health Points: 32
Attack Strength: Easy and Normal: 2-5
Hard: 3-5  (Will also inflict Blindness for 20 seconds)

The illusioner is an unused hostile mob exclusive to Java Edition. It can only be spawned using spawn eggs or the /summon command. When killed, they will drop 5 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf, and they also have a small chance of dropping their bow. If they are a raid captain they will also drop their banner.

The illusioner will attack players, adult villagers, iron golems, and wandering traders, and is the only mob that can detect a target through a wall. The illusioner is equipped with a bow, and its attack patterns are more or less identical to those of a skeleton. If it is attacking a player it can also use two different magical attacks.

When an illusioner first attacks a player, it will inflict the player with 20 seconds of the Blindness status effect. It will usually not use this attack on the same player twice. After the effect wears off, the illusioner will make itself invisible and create four clones of itself. The clones will face the same direction as the real illusioner, and will move more or less in step with it. They cannot hurt the player and cannot be killed, but the real illusioner will still be able to damage the player and be damaged, even though it is invisible.

Zombie Horse

Passive Mob
Health Points: 15

The zombie horse is an unused undead passive mob. It can only be spawned using spawn eggs or the /summon command. When killed, they will drop 0-2 rotten flesh, 1-3 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf, and, if equipped, their saddle.

In Bedrock Edition, the zombie horse cannot be ridden. In Java Edition, they function almost exactly the same as a regular horse. In addition, they cannot be equipped with armor, and can breathe underwater.

Warden

Hostile Mob
Health Points: 500
Attack Strength: Melee: Easy: 16
                                          Normal: 30
                                          Hard: 45
                              Ranged: Easy: 6
                                             Normal: 10
                                             Hard: 15

The warden is an incredibly powerful hostile mob that only spawns in deep dark biomes as a result of sculk shriekers being activated. When a naturally generated sculk shrieker has been activated four times, a warden will be summoned if there isn't already one within 24 blocks. It will spawn by digging itself out of the ground, and the light level will have no effect on the spawning sequence. While the warden is spawning, it is completely invulnerable. If there is nowhere for the warden to spawn (for example, if the entire area is flooded or filled with blocks), a loud roar will play instead.

When killed, a warden will drop a single sculk catalyst, and 5 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf.

Once a warden has spawned, it will idly wander around, searching for targets. It is completely blind, so it will do this by listening for vibrations and sniffing. It will listen for vibrations up to 16 blocks away, and, like sculk sensors, it cannot detect vibrations from a player if they are sneaking or moving on wool. If it hears a vibration, it will move toward it to investigate.

If it is not investigating any vibrations, it will move toward the closest mob or player, prioritizing players over mobs. Every so often while doing this, they will sniff for the player to zero in on their location. Wardens can sniff out a player even if the player is sneaking.

Wardens, whether they are angry or not, will give 12 seconds of the Darkness effect to all players within 20 blocks of it. This effect will refresh every 6 seconds as long as the player remains close to the warden. They also make a low heartbeat sound, that occurs in tandem with the pulsing of the Darkness effect. The heartbeat will speed up as they become more agitated. Wardens are also immune to damage from lava and fire.

Whenever a player or mob makes a vibration near a warden, touches it, or is sniffed out by it, the warden will become more angry at them. Their anger starts out at zero. If a mob or player makes a vibration near them, they add 10 anger if it was a vibration made by a projectile, and 35 anger for all other vibrations. If they hear two projectiles from the same player or mob within 5 seconds, they will add the full 35 anger toward that player or mob. If a mob or player touches a warden, the warden will add 35 anger toward them for each second they are touched. When it finished sniffing, a warden will add 35 anger to the nearest mob or player within 6 blocks horizontally and 20 blocks vertically. Anger will decay at a rate of 1 per second.

If a warden does not detect any vibrations or sniff any mobs or players for 60 seconds, it will burrow back into the ground and despawn. If the warden is currently in a liquid, such as lava or water, it will simply despawn without the digging animation. During the digging/burrowing animation, a warden cannot detect vibrations and cannot take damage. Nametagged wardens will not dig or despawn.

Once a warden reaches 80 anger with a target, it will roar, add 20 anger, and pursue the target. If it is directly attacked by a mob or player, it will immediately enter the hostile state and add 100 anger toward them. The warden will always prioritize players when pursuing, if possible.

The warden's melee attack has a cooldown of 0.9 seconds, and will disable shields for 5 seconds. If a warden cannot reach its target, it switches to its ranged attack, the sonic boom. It can only do this if the following are true:
  • It has been 10 seconds since the warden detected the target.
  • It has been 5 seconds since the warden last used a melee or ranged attack.
  • The target is within 15 blocks horizontally and 20 blocks vertically of the warden.
When a warden uses a ranged attack, it emits blue particles from its chest directly at the target, making it impossible to dodge the attack. It takes 1.7 seconds for the warden to charge and release the attack, and after using a ranged attack, there is a cooldown of 1.3 seconds before the warden can attack again. The sonic boom can go through blocks and other mobs or players, only affecting the target. The attack bypasses shields, armor, and enchantments. Only the Resistance status effect can provide defense against the sonic boom.

Ravager

Hostile Mob
Health Points: 100
Attack Strength: Melee: Easy: 7
                                          Normal: 12
                                          Hard: 18
                              Roar: 6

Ravagers are mobs that will only spawn as part of raids, and will not spawn until wave 3. Later waves will also have ravagers with pillagers, vindicators, or evokers riding them. When killed, they will drop a saddle, and 20 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf.

Ravagers are hostile toward players, iron golems, adult villagers, and wandering traders (when ravagers see a villager and an iron golem together, they always prioritize attacking the villager, unless they are already attacking an iron golem). They attack enemies by ramming them with their heads, which will deal 5 blocks of knockback in addition to 7-18 damage, depending on the difficulty.

Ravagers can break most organic blocks (including leaves, flowers, pumpkins, and melons) by charging into them. If a ravager is accidentally hit by a pillager, it will not retaliate, and the same goes for evokers and their fangs. If they are hit by any mobs other than illagers, they will retaliate, prioritizing their attackers over anything else, including the player.

If a ravager's attack is blocked by a shield, no damage and only half the knockback is dealt. This also has a 50% chance to stun the ravager, which will make it unable to move or attack for 2 seconds. After this period, it will open its mouth and roar, dealing 6 damage and 5 blocks of knockback to any nearby mobs and players. Illagers will take no damage from the roar but will still be knocked back, and other ravagers will not be affected at all. Any non-illager hostile or neutral mobs damaged by the roar will retaliate.

If a ravager is in water and its head is submerged, it will dismount any rider it has.

In Java Edition, any ravager attacked by a player or a mob (excluding illagers or goats) will send out an alert to other ravagers to target the attacker, unless the ravager in question was killed in one hit.

Vex

Hostile Mob
Health Points: 14
Attack Strength: Easy: 5.5
                              Normal: 9
                              Hard: 13.5

Vexes are hostile mobs that only spawn when an evoker summons them. They are armed with iron swords and can phase through blocks. When killed, they will drop 5 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf. On Java Edition, they cannot drop their sword, but on Bedrock Edition they occasionally can.

Vexes will attack players, adult villagers, iron golems, and wandering traders. They will also attack any mob that hit the evoker, whether by accident or not (for example, if a skeleton accidentally shot it). Vexes are capable of flying in the air and can travel through blocks as if they were not there. This also includes water and lava (which they won't take damage from).

When a vex is idle, it will float around holding its sword at its side. When it detects a target, it will glow red and lunge with its sword.

On Java Edition, if a vex had been summoned by an evoker, it will start taking damage after 30 to 119 seconds and will eventually die.

Evoker

Hostile Mob
Passive Mob (Peaceful Difficulty: Bedrock Edition only)
Health Points: 24
Attack Strength: 6

Evokers are hostile mobs that will spawn in woodland mansions and in the later waves of a raid (except on Easy Difficulty), and are a type of illager. When killed, they will drop a Totem of Undying, 0-1 emeralds, and 10 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf, as well as an ominous banner (illager banner on Bedrock Edition) if they spawned with one.

Evokers are the only source of Totems of Undying, and if the player is holding one in their main hand or offhand when their health bar reaches 0, the totem will be consumed and will resurrect the player then and there, giving them 1 health point and 2 bonus absorption hearts, as well as around 40 seconds of Regeneration II, 40 seconds of Fire Resistance, and 5 seconds of Absorption II.

Evokers move around at the player's sprinting speed, and in Java Edition, they move much faster when spawned during a raid. The will attack players, adult villagers, iron golems, wandering traders, and, on Bedrock Edition, snow golems. If the player gets within ten blocks of an evoker while it is not in the middle of attacking, the evoker will flee to avoid being damaged.

Evokers have two main attacks: the first is to summon vexes, as long as their are fewer than 8 vexes within a 16 block radius of the evoker, and the second is to summon fangs. Whenever an evoker summons vexes, it will always summon three. After summoning vexes, there is a 5 second cooldown before the evoker can cast another spell, and a 17 second cooldown before it can summon vexes again.

The evoker's second attack is to summon a number of fangs that rise out of the ground around the player, then snap shut and vanish. The fangs will deal 6 points of damage to any mob that gets caught in them, regardless of difficulty. Armor cannot absorb the damage unless it is enchanted with Protection, and other illagers cannot be damaged by the fangs. Evokers typically summon a line of 16 fangs, going toward its target, but if its target is within three blocks of them, they will summon two circles of fangs around them, the smaller one consisting of 5 fangs, and the larger one consisting of 8 fangs. After summoning fangs, there is a 2 second cooldown before the evoker can cast another spell, and a 5 second cooldown before it can summon fangs again.

On Java Edition, the evoker also has a combo attack, in which it can summon two circles of fangs and vexes simultaneously, without any cooldown.

If the evoker is not in combat and it detects a blue sheep within 16 blocks of it, it will cast a spell to turn the sheep's color from blue to red. After recoloring sheep, there is a 3 second cooldown before the evoker can cast another spell, and a 7 second cooldown before it can recolor sheep again.

Vindicator

Hostile Mob
Neutral Mob (Occasionally, if they spawned with a woodland mansion)
Passive Mob (Peaceful Difficulty: Bedrock Edition only)
Health Points: 24
Attack Strength: Armed: Easy: 7.5
                                            Normal: 13
                                            Hard: 19.5
                             Unarmed: Easy: 3.5
                                                Normal: 5
                                                Hard: 7.5

Vindicators are hostile mobs armed with iron axes that will spawn in woodland mansions and during illager raids, and are a type of illager. When killed, they will drop 0-1 emeralds, and 5 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf, as well as additional 1-3 experience per naturally spawned equipment. There is also an 8.5% chance of them dropping their axe, and if they spawned as a raid captain, they will drop an ominous banner (illager banner on Bedrock Edition). In Bedrock Edition, if a vindicator spawned as part of a raid, they also have a chance to drop 0-5 emeralds, iron gear, and even enchanted books.

Vindicators are hostile toward players, iron golems, adult villagers, wandering traders, and, on Bedrock Edition, snow golems. While a vindicator is idle, they will stand with their arms crossed, much like a villager. However, when they detect a target, they will brandish an iron axe and sprint toward it. If the vindicator does not have a weapon, they will hold up both their hands instead, similar to a zombie. Like a pillager's crossbow, the vindicator's axe can break if used enough.

A vindicator's axe can stun the player's shield for 5 seconds, during which they can inflict heavy damage if the player does not retreat. On Normal and Hard difficulty, vindicators spawned as part of a raid can break down doors, much like zombies in Hard difficulty.

If a vindicator is named "Johnny" using a name tag, it will attack virtually everything, except for evokers, pillagers, other vindicators, zoglins, and ghasts. In Bedrock Edition they will also not attack ravagers, and in Java Edition they will also not attack baby villagers or illusioners. All hostile and neutral mobs attacked by a Johnny vindicator will retaliate, except for endermites, elder guardians, phantoms, guardians, goats, slimes, magma cubes, ravagers, and the ender dragon.

Elder Guardian

Hostile Mob
Health Points: 80
Attack Strength: Laser: Easy: 5
                                          Normal: 8
                                          Hard: 12
                              Spikes: Easy and Normal: 2
                                           Hard: 3

Elder guardians are larger and stronger variants of the guardian. Three elder guardians spawn with each ocean monument, one in the top of the structure, and one in each wing. When killed, they will drop 0-2 prismarine shards, one wet sponge, and 10 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf. There is a 1/2 chance of them dropping one raw cod (cooked cod if killed while on fire on Java Edition), a 1/3 chance of them dropping one prismarine crystal instead of cod, and a 1/6 chance of them dropping neither cod nor prismarine crystals. There is also a 2.5% chance of them dropping one random fish: a 60% chance for raw cod, a 25% chance of raw salmon, a 13% chance for pufferfish, and a 2% chance for tropical fish. In addition, there is a 20% chance for them to drop a Tide armor trim.

Elder guardians will retract their spikes when swimming, and when they are stationary, the spikes will extend and they will slowly sink. They will attack any players, squid, glow squid, or axolotls that come within range of its laser. If the player swims toward them, they will retract their spikes and swim away, unless they are cornered. If they are cornered, they will instead extend their spikes and shoot their laser. They will flop around squeaking while on land, and cannot suffocate when out of water, meaning they can survive indefinitely on land.

Elder guardians have three main forms of attack: their laser, which shoots from their eye, their spikes, when extended, and the ability to inflict the Mining Fatigue status effect on players.

The laser's maximum range is fifteen blocks, and will take 2 seconds to charge up, starting purple and fading to yellow, and will do no damage as it does so. When it is fully charged, the laser will flash green and deal damage. The laser cannot be dodged or blocked by a shield, but if its path is blocked by a solid block, it will disengage.

When an elder guardian's spikes are extended, any mob or player that hits it will be inflicted by a small amount of damage, similar to the Thorns armor enchantment.

Elder guardians will inflict Mining Fatigue on any players they detect within 50 blocks. The effect will last for 5 minutes, and when it runs out will be renewed by the elder guardians if they are still alive. When the player is inflicted with Mining Fatigue, a ghostly face of the elder guardian will appear and fade away on their screens, and a ghostly noise will play. Mining Fatigue will decrease the player's attack speed by 30%, and will also greatly increase the time it takes to break blocks. Mining Fatigue III, the only level that can be obtained in survival Minecraft, will make the breaking time for all blocks 37 times longer. Like other status effects, it can be removed by drinking a bucket of milk.

Guardians are aquatic mobs that spawn in water blocks in and around ocean monuments. When killed, they will drop 0-2 prismarine shards, and 10 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf. There is also a 40% chance of them dropping one raw cod (cooked cod if killed while on fire on Java Edition), a 40% chance of them dropping one prismarine crystal instead of cod, and a 20% chance of them dropping neither cod nor prismarine crystals.

Guardians will retract their spikes when swimming, and when they are stationary, the spikes will extend and they will slowly sink. Snow Golem

Passive Mob
Health Points: 4
Attack Strength (Against Blazes Only): 3

Snow golems are mobs that only spawn when the player builds it, by placing two snow blocks, one on top of the other, and then a carved pumpkin on top. It will also work with a jack-o-lantern, or, on Bedrock Edition, a regular pumpkin. When killed, they will drop 0-15 snowballs.

Snow golems will initially spawn wearing a carved pumpkin, but can be sheared to remove it. They will move toward and attack any monsters in the area (except ghasts) by throwing snowballs, which won't do any damage (except to blazes) but will still provoke them.

Snow golems will leave a trail of snow as they move around, except in hot biomes. They will take damage from rain and water, and from being in a hot biome such as deserts, savannas, or the Nether, but but they are immune to damage from powder snow.

Wandering Trader

Passive Mob
Health Points: 20

Wandering traders are passive mobs that will spawn randomly, up to 48 blocks away from a player, along with two leashed trader llamas, which will drop their leads if they or the wandering trader are killed or separated. The wandering trader will despawn after 40 minutes. They will usually not drop anything, unless they are drinking a potion of invisibility or a bucket of milk, in which case there will be an 8.5% chance of them dropping that item.

Wandering traders tend to stick within 16 blocks of their initial spawn point, unless influenced by players or other mobs. They will avoid zombies and their variants, all the illager variants, and vexes, staying at least 8 blocks away from them. They are targeted by zombies, and, unlike villagers, if they are killed by one, they will not become zombified. When night falls, they will drink a potion of invisibility, and when day arrives, they will drink milk to remove the status effect. If the player attacks one, its llamas will attack the player by spitting.

The wandering trader will also sell a variety of organic blocks and items to the player for emeralds, but will not buy anything from them.
