Pig

Passive Mob
Health Points: 10

Pigs are passive mobs commonly found spawning on grass blocks in all Overworld biomes. When killed they will drop 1-3 raw porkchop (cooked porkchop if they were killed while on fire), 1 saddle if saddled, and 1-3 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf. A piglet will not drop anything when killed, not even experience.

Pigs will follow a player holding carrots, potatoes, beetroots, or carrots on a stick within a six-block radius, and if two pigs are fed carrots, potatoes, or beetroots by the player, they will enter love mode and breed, and the player will be rewarded with 1-7 experience. Those pigs will then not be able to enter love mode again for 5 minutes. It will take 20 minutes for the piglet to grow into an adult.

It is possible to ride a pig using a saddle and a carrot on a stick. Using the saddle on the pig will equip it with the saddle, and the player will then be able to click Use on the pig to mount it. The control for sneaking will allow the player to dismount. Saddled pigs are controllable with a carrot on a stick. The player must simply hold the carrot on a stick in their main hand or offhand and look in the direction they want to go. The pig will start moving slowly, but will accelerate to 5.2 blocks per second. Using the carrot on a stick will make the pig move faster, at the cost of 7 durability on the carrot on a stick. Piglets cannot be saddled.

If a pig or piglet is struck by lightning, it will be transformed into either a zombified piglin or a baby zombified piglin, mobs that can also be found naturally spawning in the Nether.
