Horse

Passive Mob
Health Points: 15-30

Horses are passive mobs found spawning in plains and savannas. There are 35 different colorations of horses. When killed, they will drop 0-2 leather, and 1-3 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf. Foals will not drop anything.

Horses can be tamed and ridden by the player. Clicking Use on the horse with an empty hand will allow the player to mount it. The horse may then throw them off. After a certain amount of tries, heart particles will appear and the player will stay on the horse, indicating that it has been tamed. The taming process can be sped up by feeding the horse wheat.

The horse's inventory can be opened by the player opening their inventory while riding the horse, or by sneaking and clicking Use on the horse. A saddle must be placed in the appropriate slot before the player can move around on the horse. It can also be equipped by using it on the horse. There is also a second slot for horse armor, which will protect the horse as armor protects the player. Horse armor can be found in a variety of loot chests throughout the world, and leather horse armor is also craftable, although the other types aren't.

The horse can be controlled using the standard movement controls. The control for sneaking will allow the player to dismount. If, while in water, the player's head is submerged, the horse will throw them off.

While the player is riding a horse, their hunger bar will be replaced by the horse's health points. The experience bar is replaced by a bar that shows the horse's jump height when the player makes it jump. Holding down and releasing the jump button will make the horse jump. The longer the jump button is held down, the higher the horse will jump.

Horses will follow a player holding a golden carrot, golden apple, or enchanted golden apple within a six-block radius, and if two horses are fed golden carrots or golden apples by the player, they will enter love mode and breed, and the player will be rewarded with 1-7 experience. Those horses will then not be able to enter love mode again for 5 minutes. It will take 20 minutes for the foal to grow into an adult.  The growth process can also be sped up by feeding the horse wheat. A horse can also be bred with a donkey to produce a mule.
