Mule

Passive Mob
Health Points: 15-30

Mules are passive mobs that will not naturally spawn in the world. The only way to obtain them is to breed together a horse and a donkey using golden carrots or golden apples. When killed, they will drop 0-2 leather, and 1-3 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf.

Mules can be tamed and ridden by the player. Clicking Use on the mule with an empty hand will allow the player to mount it. The mule may then throw them off. After a certain amount of tries, heart particles will appear and the player will stay on the mule, indicating that it has been tamed. The taming process can be sped up by feeding the mule wheat.

The mule's inventory can be opened by the player opening their inventory while riding the mule, or by sneaking and clicking Use on the mule. A saddle must be placed in the appropriate slot before the player can move around on the mule. It can also be equipped by using it on the mule. Using a chest on the mule will equip the chest, and will give the mule's inventory 15 storage slots.

The mule can be controlled using the standard movement controls. The control for sneaking will allow the player to dismount. If, while in water, the player's head is submerged, the mule will throw them off.

When the player is riding a mule, their hunger bar will be replaced by the mule's health points. The experience bar is replaced by a bar that shows the mule's jump height when the player makes it jump. Holding down and releasing the jump button will make the mule jump. The longer the jump button is held down, the higher the mule will jump.

Two mules cannot breed to produce another mule. The only way to obtain a mule is to breed together a horse and a donkey.
