Rabbit

Passive Mob
Hostile Mob (Killer Bunny Only)
Health Points: 3
Attack Strength (Killer Bunny Only): Easy: 5
                                                                 Normal: 8
                                                                 Hard: 12

Rabbits are passive mobs found spawning in the desert, cherry grove, snowy plain, snow taiga, grove, snowy slopes, frozen ocean (Bedrock Edition only), frozen river (Bedrock Edition only), snowy beach (Bedrock Edition only), flower forest, taiga, meadow, old growth pine taiga (Java Edition only), and old growth spruce taiga (Java Edition only) biomes. When killed, they will drop 0-1 rabbit hides, 0-1 raw rabbit, and 1-3 experience if they were killed by a player or a tamed wolf. There is also a 10% chance for them to drop a rabbit's foot.

There are six different rabbit skins, and the skin a rabbit has depends on the biome it spawned in. Rabbits in snowy biomes will have either white fur or black and white fur, rabbits in deserts have gold fur, and rabbits in other biomes will have either brown fur, salt and pepper fur, or black fur.

Rabbits will follow a player holding carrots, golden carrots, or dandelions within an eight-block radius, and if two rabbits are fed carrots, golden carrots, or dandelions by the player, they will enter love mode and breed, and the player will be rewarded with 1-7 experience. Those rabbits will then not be able to enter love mode again for 5 minutes. It will take 20 minutes for the baby rabbit to grow into an adult. The growth process can also be sped up by feeding the baby rabbit carrots, golden carrots, or dandelions.

Rabbits will avoid most hostile mobs (except for slimes, magma cubes, and ghasts), will usually avoid players, and will also avoid wolves. They will be attacked by wild wolves, foxes, and stray cats. Rabbits will also seek out and eat mature carrot crops (Java Edition only) or carrot crops with a growth stage greater than 1 (Bedrock Edition only).

Rabbit Variants

When the player names a rabbit "Toast," its fur will change to the pattern shown above.

The Killer Bunny is a hostile version of rabbit that is exclusive to Java Edition. It does not naturally spawn, and can only be spawned using the command /summon rabbit ~ ~ ~ {RabbitType:99}. The Killer Bunny will attack foxes and wolves as well as the player. It has 8 armor points in addition to the standard 3 health points, and can be bred like other rabbits. Unlike other hostile mobs, if the game is set to peaceful difficulty, the Killer Bunny will not despawn. It will still attack foxes and wolves, but not the player.
