Snow golems are mobs that only spawn when the player builds it, by placing two snow blocks, one on top of the other, and then a carved pumpkin on top. It will also work with a jack-o-lantern, or, on Bedrock Edition, a regular pumpkin. When killed, they will drop 0-15 snowballs.

Snow golems will initially spawn wearing a carved pumpkin, but can be sheared to remove it. They will move toward and attack any monsters in the area (except ghasts) by throwing snowballs, which won't do any damage (except to blazes) but will still provoke them.

Snow golems will leave a trail of snow as they move around, except in hot biomes. They will take damage from rain and water, and from being in a hot biome such as deserts, savannas, or the Nether, but but they are immune to damage from powder snow.
